Burns Supper with Provost of East Ayrshire
On Friday 22nd March Matt Ogden and Laure Buisson from Culzean Textile Solutions attended a Burns supper at Dean Castle, Kilmarnock with the Provost Jim Todd.
The Burns themed evening was the Provosts way of thanking East Ayrshire Businesses for their support to both East Ayrshire Council and the Provosts chosen charity Prostate Cancer.
The evening was a great success with the Selkirk Grace, Racer Jess, Holy Wullie and Tam O'Shanter being performed by a talented cast along with the traditional "Haggis, neeps and tatties ". (Haggis, turnips and potatoes.)
Fiona Lees, Chief Executive of East Ayrshire Council visited Culzean with Sharon Hodgson, Economic Development Manager, on the 5th of March 2013.
During Fiona's visit we discussed the beneficial assistance we have received from East Ayrshire Council in our recruitment campaign in 2012, along with the website marketing and current marketing initiative.
We also discussed our forthcoming development plans before taking a guided tour of our factory.
After her visit Fiona's letter commented to Matt regarding, "the insight into what is an outstanding example of the world class businesses we have in East Ayrshire. Sharon and I both found the tour of the factory itself and the complexity of the work being done fascinating and we were delighted to meet some of the workforce who had been recruited through our employability services."
Culzean granted European Trade Mark
In September 2012, Culzean was granted a European Trade Mark for the Culzean Brand.
Over the past few years we have been working on consolidating and expanding our business and increasing the Culzean brand awareness.
As our business grows we decided to Trade Mark Culzean to protect our brand and give assurance to our clients that textiles designed and manufactured under the Culzean Brand name have our exclusive input.
Regional Finalist for the British Chamber Award 2011
In September 2011 Culzean won the Regional Winner in the Chamber Awards 2011 for Achievement in International Business.
Fiona Morton represented the company at the glittering British Chamber Award ceremony in the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London, in November 2011. Although we did not win the National Final we enjoyed meeting up with the representatives of the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce and some of our clients who had also been regional winners of awards.
